DCDSB invites qualified Educational Assistants (EA) to apply for Permanent EA employment opportunities effective September 2, 2026.
Applicants require the following qualifications:
- Two or three year diploma from a recognized Community College in an area related to Special Education or a Bachelor or Arts degree.
- Ability to work with children including a wide variety of students with Special Needs.
- Support the Gospel values and philosophy of Inclusion
- Three to Six months previous related experience and/or job placement.
Preferred but not required qualifications include:
- UMAB and/or CPI and/or NVCI qualification
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Autism Behaviour (ABA)
- Assistive Technology Software
- Augmentative Communication
- Safe Back Care or Lifting Ambulation
Applications must include resume and cover letter referring to educational and related field experience, Criminal Reference Check (within 6 months), evaluations (at least 2), professional references (3) any other information supporting your application.
